Our commitment
This website aims to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology.
What's built in
- Semantic HTML — headings, landmarks, and lists are marked up so screen readers can navigate the page's structure, not just read text top to bottom
- Keyboard access — navigation, the full-screen menu, and interactive components like the Technology systems selector can all be reached and operated without a mouse, with a visible focus outline
- Reduced motion — this site respects your operating system's "reduce motion" setting; animations and transitions are minimized when it's on
- Alt text — meaningful images and icons include text alternatives; purely decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers so they don't add noise
- Color contrast — text and background colors are chosen with contrast in mind throughout the dark interface
Target
We're aiming for WCAG 2.1 Level AA as a working target. This is a goal we're building toward, not a certified compliance claim.
Known limitations
Some pages use custom interactive components. We've tested these for keyboard and screen-reader use, but as with any custom interface, there may be edge cases we haven't caught.
